The spring and fall transition
periods are almost mirror images of each other.
They occur when the water temperatures are
between 62 and 75 degrees. This occurs from

The best bait to catch both
quality and quantity is live shrimp using a

Speckled Trout can
be found in shallow
water less than 6' and will be active all day.
Abundant oyster Reefs of Mobile Bay and
Mississippi Sound hold the fish especially
during this period. And can be found by the "slicks"
that they create when feeding. Drifting is the
most effective technique to use.
